Abs-olutely Pilates: 10-Minute Mat Workout
Ready for a little core work? This 10-minute Level 2/3 Pilates mat workout focuses on your abs, with a touch of light weights to round things out. It's smoothly paced, thoughtfully sequenced, and designed to strengthen your core while working your glutes, hamstrings, inner thighs, and upper body.
We begin with a core warm-up to activate those deep abdominal muscles while engaging the inner thighs. Next, we'll take a few quick hamstring stretches before settling onto the mat for some really lovely abdominal work. And yes, there's more ab work to come!
From there, we'll lift into bridges to target the glutes and backs of the legs, all while drawing the abdominals gently toward the spine to support the movement. We'll finish with a few small but mighty upper-body exercises, including flys and presses, using light hand weights of just 3 pounds or less.
That's your 10 minutes! A focused little Pilates session that brings together core strength, lower-body work, and a touch of upper-body conditioning—all on the mat.
Press play, find your form, and enjoy your movement. Hopefully, you'll finish feeling strong, energized, and absolutely amazing!
